...Relaxing, relaxing and relaxing. That is all what we did at the Bahia Principe Punta Cana resort Dominican Republic.

My wife and I amazed ourselves about this lazy Caribbean vacation in the Dominican Republic. We were not sure if it was due to this Punta Cana resort location, the busy year we both had at work or just the very high Dominican temperatures which were in Punta Cana that year.

Believe it or not ...we liked this Caribbean vacation at our Punta Cana beach.

The Dominican Republic hotel Bahia Principe Punta Cana is set above a Punta Cana beach of Caribbean white sand, with 230 feet of Punta Cana beach front. It extends over half a million square feet and has numerous Dominican Republic gardens, and Caribbean paths where my wife and I loved to walk and, at the same time, enjoy the soft Punta Cana ocean sea breezes and the Caribbean freshness of the natural Dominican surroundings.

Normally we make Punta Cana tours and Dominican trips in our Caribbean vacations. That year we only sunbathed, did Punta Cana snorkeling a bit and swum in the Dominican bathtub... I mean Punta Cana ocean. (I really had put on some weight that Caribbean vacation). No surprise that most Caribbean tourists of the Bahia Principe Punta Cana resort behaved in the same way that Punta Cana vacation year.

Again the Punta Cana temperatures were high so I assume nobody wanted to put in an extra step at this Dominican hotel to exhaust themselves too much with all the available Bahia Principe Punta Cana resort features.

We got to learn Punta Cana honeymooners there who were married at the Bahia hotel in Punta Cana. A very nice couple from Italy. The Bahia Principe Punta Cana resort arranged a presidential Bahia Principe Dominican hotel room for them as a Caribbean surprise with a nice Punta Cana ocean view. They told us they also had a great time at the free 'Caribbean Club' discotheque in Peublo Principe which offered special Punta Cana animation programmes, Dominican merengue dance, Punta Cana aerobics classes and a great number of Punta Cana beach sports. If it only would be a bit cooler that Punta Cana vacation year.

This Punta Cana resort also featured a Dominican Mini club for children, as well as an Dominican amphitheatre for Punta Cana entertainment and Punta Cana shows.

This Caribbean hotel also has Dominican tennis courts, mini golf, aquatic activity center, and a sub aqua center, spa and Punta Cana fitness center.

The Bahia all inclusive hotel rate included all meals, drinks, various Punta Cana activities, Dominican taxes and the Caribbean vacation accommodations.

There were two large, lake type Bahia hotel pools with a kid's section, spacious solariums and Dominican gardens with sunshades and loungers. Punta Cana towel service was offered at the Bahia hotel pools and Punta Cana beach.
