Great beach in the rain

I had a hard time picking the Punta Can resort I wanted to spent my vacation. My wife suggested the Dreams resort, I preferred Paradisus Punta Cana. Okay lets look at Iberostar resort then, or what about The Excellence? This would take us nowhere. So we finally decided to narrow down all the possibilities by only looking at our budget. You seem to forget all about it when you're looking at great pictures of resorts and hotels in the Dominican Republic.

Once we both agreed to an amount we wanted to spent for our Caribbean vacation the Grand Oasis in Punta Cana presented itself as the best candidate. A resort which seemed to have quality for the best price. Nice suites, great beach, restaurants and pools. Guess what? It was all true! The Grand Oasis is indeed an amazing resort with beautiful features.

So did we have our best Punta Cana vacation here? Unfortunately not. A big NO! So please be careful "when" you go to Punta Cana or somewhere else in the Dominican Republic. We had 7 days of rain! We forgot all about the tropical climate in the Caribbean which needs your attention before you book. You have to know which months have the best weather and which months the worst. First week of March is and will be a "no" for us.
