Punta Cana surfing is always one of the first things she wants to do in our Punta Cana vacations. I always like to stay behind at the Punta Cana beaches enjoying these Dominican surfing skills in the in the far distance on the Punta Cana ocean.
To bad that most Punta Cana tourists think that only the Punta Cana beaches are the reason for amazing Punta Cana vacations in the Dominican republic. There is much more Punta Cana fun possible. When you go to the Dominican Republic inland for example you can see some amazing Punta Cana waterfalls.
Visit The Salto Alto Waterfalls In Your Punta Cana Vacation
In 2006 we visited the 'Salto Alto' waterfalls in one of our best Punta Cana vacations. It was quite an Caribbean experience because we went there by horseback riding. You really have to be a bit adventures for these Punta Cana tours and trips. But only suntbathing on the Punta Cana beaches is not something we want to do all the time in the Dominican Republic.
It took us several hours with the help of a Dominican guide to reach these Dominican Republic waterfalls, but it was well worth it. You will see great tropical views even before you have actually arrived at these Punta Cana waterfalls. When you do, you feel like wanting to stay there for a few more days. It is a beautiful and peaceful caribbean location...

Unfortunately most caribbean tourists in Punta Cana stay at their local Dominican resort hotel and Punta Cana beach. But it is a real recommendation to visit the inland of the Dominican Republic too. Meet the local Dominicans of Punta Cana, visit the small Dominican villages to see what the Caribbean culture is all about.
A Dominican guide available through your Punta Cana resort or Dominican Hotel is advisable!
If you intend to visit the Dominican Republic more often, than it might be a good suggestion to do one or two Punta Cana tours per vacation. It really is worth it.
