In 2006 we visited the 'Salto Alto' waterfalls in one of our best Punta Cana vacations. It was quite an Caribbean experience because we went there by horseback riding. You really have to be a bit adventures for these Punta Cana tours and trips. But only suntbathing on the Punta Cana beaches is not something we want to do all the time in the Dominican Republic.

It took us several hours with the help of a Dominican guide to reach these Dominican Republic waterfalls, but it was well worth it.
